Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Sandy Shaw and I am a PADI Scuba Diving Instructor. Growing up as a child, I was always drawn to the ocean. I went to the shore every chance that I had, even in the winter time ... just hearing the sound of the waves had a very profound effect on me.
I started diving in 2001, getting certified as an Open Water Diver and was so addicted that I never stopped learning about diving, working my way up through the ranks, eventually becoming an instructor. I want everyone to experience the ocean and see the world from a different point of view. When you see the undersea world close up, you can only be amazed to see the ocean life in its natural habitat ... from a mother Damsel fish protecting her nest to feeling the current when a pair of dolphins swims by or kicking as hard as you can to keep up with a 50 foot whale shark.
I have a passion for protecting the ocean and encourage all to do so. My specialties in my dive career start with the children. I believe that children should experience the ocean at a young age. This teaches them to respect and protect our most valuable resource. I also have a passion for underwater photography. Photography helps me bring my experiences to life for those who cannot see what I am privileged to see every time that I dive.
